New pictures are here (page 10)

October 27, 2008   Well at least I updated her main picture.  Truth is, most of my family photo updates are happening out on Kodak Gallery, and I've just found it easy to upload a bunch of pictures at a time there with little editing needed.  So, if you have trouble seeing them, just shoot me an email, and I'll invite you to view.

September 9th 2005   Fairness is quite the motivator...  I felt bad having just put a page together for Kyle, and not at least updating Madison's page.  I'm sure it is getting just as many visits as Kyle's lately...  I'm putting some of our most recent family photos up when we went to Disneyland in June.  (Actually, this was Kim and my 5th year anniversary present to each other.  It was going to be Europe, but being 28 weeks pregnant put a damper on that plan).

April 29th, 2002 OK, it's not entirely my fault that I haven't posted any updates out here in 6 months.  Shortly after the first of the year, my digital camera was stolen out of my car.  It wasn't until last week that I got a new one.

So today, Kim and I took Madison out to the park.  She had so much fun feeding the ducks & geese, and playing on the jungle gym.  We just can't believe how big she's getting.  Time sure fly's when you're having fun...  Check out all the pictures from today.

November 4th, 2001 Tony & Jenna came up this weekend for a wedding.  We were happy, because they brought Zach & Natalie, and they had a blast with Madison.

I've posted some of the pictures from Halloween, and the visit from Zach & Natalie.  All the kids had so much fun.

October 20th, 2001 I guess I should try to keep a little better updates going.  We took a bunch of pictures today, at Bishop's Pumpkin Patch.  Madison had a blast!  We went with friends from the office, and had 3 kids that all had fun on hay rides, slides, petting zoo, pony rides, and pumpkin carving.

May 18th 2001 I finally got my favorite picture scanned and on the web.  This picture in her little pink Osh' Kosh overalls is about 6 months old, but I still love it.

April 17th 2001 Well no new pictures scanned in a while. I just wanted to update a bit so you folks didn't think this was a totally dead page. (Even though it's close) In the last few months, lots has progressed.  Madison is now walking (11 mos.) and running (12 mos.)  She is all over the place, and into everything.  She is always  great to be with, and is so well tempered.  I think we're pretty lucky.

November 5th 2000 Wow, looks like I really slacked off on the updates to this page huh? Well, Maddie is 9½ months old now. She is walking around the coffee table, crawling as fasts as the dog, and has a vocabulary so far of about 3 words, Mama, Dada, Baba. But she does a lot of baby speak She is up to about 20 pounds +/- a few ounces. She was just the cutest little pumpkin for this Halloween. I'll see if I can find some pictures later. I've added another page to the photo album, they are about a month old though. She is really getting so big. She is getting a lot of hair too.

March 20th 2000 Well Madison's eye seems to be much better now. This weekend was nice, as we really just kicked around the house with her. Kim went to a baby shower over the weekend for our good friends, Bryan and Jeanee. Sunday, I got sick, so I just pretty much layed on the couch with Maddy all day. We're really hoping that she doesn't come down with anything.

Kim took some new pictures the other day. Maddy looks real cute in her new outfits. Now that she is getting bigger, she is starting to fit into more of her clothes. I think Kim is having the most fun.

Till next time.....

January 31 2000 Well, here it is, the first update for Madison's web page. My objective here is to provide a place for friends and family to come and see what's new with our new baby girl. Today's will be a long one.

It started on Thursday afternoon, on the 27th of January. Kim had her regularly scheduled Dr.'s appointment with Dr. Beisen-Bradly. The Dr. was concerned that Kim's blood pressure was a bit high, and she was showing signs of "Pregnancy Induced Hypertension". Apparently, the only cure for this is birth.... So, after a quick ultrasound to make sure that the baby was ready, they sent us down to the hospital to induce labor. (I actually thought this was something we could schedule. I asked, "Can we make this for Saturday? It would be much more convenient, as I have a meeting at 7:00 tomorrow morning") The Doctor just laughed at me as she said "I don't think so..."

Once we were at the hospital, (Sutter Roseville) Kim had about 2 hours of blood tests etc, and around 5:30pm the started the Pitocin to get the labor. started. This is around the time I started making the phone calls to let everyone know what was going on. Dad & Linda came down, to be there with during the birth. (Thank you both)

It took a while to get things going strong, but by 10:00pm Kim was in active labor. By midnight, Kim explained the pain as unbearable, and she was worried she wasn't going to be able to go through with it. (he, heh, like she had a choice) Unfortunately, none of this pain was dilating her cervix. Most likely due to Kim having a hard time relaxing with the pain she was having. (At this time, she was only at around 2cm) By 1am we were able to convince the nurse that she was in too much pain, and she called on the "Candy Man" to give Kim an epidural.

At 2:00am the epidural was in, and Kim was one happy camper. She could now relax, and let the contractions work. Both of us decided this was a good time to take a nap. Kim got to sleep for about an hour, and I got about three. Dad & Linda came back around 4:30am. (They went back to our house to sleep around 10:00pm, as it looked like things would take a while) At 5:00 Kim was checked, and she was at 5cm. By 6:00am, things had really started to move fast, as she was at 10cm. Shortly thereafter, the pushing began.

Things got started around 6:45am, and after about 45min. of painful pushing, POOF! The most wonderful, and perfect baby was born. (Daddy's pride)

We did video tape the birth (from the shoulders down of course) and we took lots of pictures too. Thank you to Dad & Linda for being there for us. We both love you very much.
